The Ultimate Fighting Championship started of 2010 with a clean state in regards to its fighters’ drug testing.
Keith Kizer, executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, on Thursday revealed that nine fighters were drug tested following UFC 108: Evans vs. Silva on Jan. 2 in Las Vegas. Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva headlined the event in a light heavyweight showdown.
Kizer said that Evans, Paul Daley, Sam Stout, Jim Miller, Junior Dos Santos, Martin Kampmann, Mark Munoz, Jake Ellenberger, and Raphael Oliveira were all tested after their fights.
“Also, Evans and Silva were tested during training in December. All tests were negative,” wrote Kizer in an email to MMAWeekly.com.
