Road FC 21 is set for the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on Feb. 1 and will feature two title fights. Reigning 145-pound champion Choi Mu Gyeom makes the first defense of his belt in the main event and Nam Jin Jo puts his 125-pound strap on the line for the first time.
Gyeom (5-3) became Road FC’s first ever featherweight champion by winning a four-man tournament, which culminated in him scoring a surprise majority-decision win over ONE FC veteran Bae Young Kwon in a fight which required an extra round.
He will be mounting the first defense of his title at Road FC 21 when he takes on hard hitting veteran Doo Won Seo (10-7), who is coming off a quick-fire knockout win over Joachim Hansen and has won seven of his last eight fights.
In the co-main event, Jo (9-6) will rematch the man he beat by split decision to become Road FC’s first ever flyweight champion when he takes on Min Jong Song (6-7) in what will be the first time either fighter has stepped inside the cage since that title match.
This will be the first event of the year for Road FC, which put on ten cards in South Korea last year. More fights are likely to be announced in the coming weeks.
