ONE Championship was represented at the press conference by Vice President and former UFC champion Rich Franklin, who had this to say about the latest bouts to be added to the April 24 card:

“These are two fights I’m really looking forward to. Geje Eustaquio and Anatpong Bunrad figure in a clash of two of the top flyweights in the division. They are both fast and devastating with their strikes and it will be an interesting contrast of styles as Wushu takes on Muay Thai. Paul Cheng and Igor Subora are also two of the best heavyweights and are determined to show they belong in the top tier in their division.”

Also in attendance at the press conference was Filipino bantamweight Mark Striegl, who will be making his promotional debut at “ONE: Valor of Champions,” when he faces Casey Suire in the co-main event. The only other match-up to have been revealed at the time of publication is a flyweight fight between Eugene Toquero and Brianata Rosadhi.

I don’t know why, but I really dislike Ben Askren.. I’d pretty much never buy a card he was on.

Bring him to the UFC after a few more title defenses and hopefully he gets smashed by the champ(whoever that will be). Then you can laugh at Bellator.

Askren doesn’t exactly portray a fan favorite personality, but he’s the only reason I would watch a one fc card. His wrestling is probably the best in mma today. His opponents all know his game plan and still he takes them down at a high percentage. Those transitions from a failed double leg to a single leg are awesome to watch, in my opinion. Maybe it’s just me.
