It takes a lot to be a UFC champion and even more to remain a UFC champion, so what does Carlos Condit do to get ready for a fight?

Cameras recently caught Carlos Condit as he trained and prepared for his next fight against Georges St-Pierre, currently rumored for UFC 154 in Montreal.

Condit admits that early in his career he took time off between fights and didn’t train as much, but now that he’s in the UFC the New Mexico native works as hard as possible at all times.

Check out Condit’s full workout below with his strength and conditioning coach as he prepares for his next championship bout:

How can you not like thus guy? He’s humble, a talented fighter and works his ass off. Much respect. Can’t wait for him and GSP, another world class fighter.

I totally agree with you. It’s really only people (like this guy who commented below) who have no MMA knowledge who dislike Condit. It’s because Condit really only became popular to the mainstream recently, so people have a skewed view of his career. Condit holds one of my favorite stats – 28 wins, only two of which were decisions. He has 26 finish wins, and those are equally divided 13/13 submission to KO…that’s a pretty awesome statistic.

Despite that amazing record, people trash the guy for ONE fight for not playing into his opponent’s strengths. It’s not like Diaz and Condit were fighting in an open field; it’s a relatively small cage. Diaz didn’t get more aggressive. He let Condit do what he did, then Condit agreed to fight him again.

I’m the first guy to criticize habitually boring fighters who fight to win instead of to finish. However, Condit gets a pass from me for his last fight. He has a wife and a kid and this was a pivotal fight for his career.

And regarding Jackson, on any given card, Jackson may have several fighters, many of whom win by spectacular KO. Perfect example was the card with Guida v. Maynard. Guida put on the worst performance of his career, and people go off on Jackson, when just a couple fights before, Cub Swanson got one of the best KO’s in past UFC events.

listen you lil twurp dont tell me what i know the reason im getting on him is cuz of the fact that he could have made it one of the greatest fights in ufc cuz hes that good but instead jackson told him to run around so go f yourself

Combat science and kbesq are right on. Condit is world class, and he’s finished most of his fights. Don’t expect the GSP fight to go the distance. I’m not sure who to root for, but I definitely think Condit is the man.

Combat Science kbesq and Marital Artist are correct. demetrious, you are the weakest link.

I’m sorry, demetriousgonzalz, I can’t understand your run-on sentence. Seriously, you may want to consider enrolling back in elementary school so people can actually understand you when you attempt to insult them.

          Thanks!
