Tom Watson vs. Thales Leites Added to Growing UFC 163 Fight Card

Tom Kong WatsonA middleweight match-up between Britain’s Tom Watson and Brazil’s Thales Leites has been added to the UFC 163 card in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

UFC officials made the announcement on Thursday.

Leites (20-4) returns to the UFC for the first time since 2009.  The 31-year-old is on a three-fight winning streak, but hasn’t fought since March 21, 2012.

Watson (16-5) is coming off a win in his last outing against Stanislav Nedkov on Feb. 16.

UFC 163 takes place on Aug. 3 at the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.  The event is headlined by a featherweight title bout between champion Jose Aldo and challenger Anthony pettis.

    A guy who was part of the worst title fight of all time, but he does have some slick submissions…I think Thales takes it.

      Your right, but Silva had a part in that also. And it continued against Maia and Cote.

        The Cote fight was decent, Anderson’s not going to be jumping in the guard of either of those guys when he’s the champ, That’s career suicide.
