A middleweight match-up between Tom “Kong” Watson and Alessio Sakara has been added to the UFC Fight Night 30 card.
UFC officials confirmed the bout on Wednesday.
Watson (16-6) debuted in the UFC in September of 2012, losing a split decision to Brad Tavares in Nottingham, England. He rebounded with a Fight of the Night and Knockout of the Night performance against Stanislav Nedkov on Feb. 16, but is coming off a decision loss to Thales Leites at UFC 163.
Sakara (19-10, 1 NC) will be looking to stop a three-fight losing streak. The bout with Watson will be the fifteenth fight in the Octagon for the UFC veteran who could be fighting to maintain his job with the organization.
UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Munoz takes place on Oct. 26 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. The event is headlined by a match-up between middleweight contenders Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz.
UFC Fight Night 30 will be the second event the UFC has hosted in the U.K. this year.
