And just like that Tim Boetsch has a new opponent.

Earlier in the day on Tuesday, MMAWeekly broke the news that Thiago Silva was forced out of the UFC 117 fight against Boetsch due to an injury, and now UFC newcomer Todd “Bulldog” Brown has been tapped as a replacement.

The news was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com by sources close to the fight on Tuesday, and first reported by MMAScraps Radio.

Todd Brown makes his UFC debut with an impressive 11-1 record overall, and last fought in November 2009 with a win over Rodney Sleepers.

Brown has fought in several regional promotions, and comes to the UFC on a five fight win streak following a no contest in 2008.

The bout between Boetsch and Brown will remain on the undercard for UFC 117.
