Huntington Beach, CA – Tito Ortiz, the mixed martial arts champion, who is an ardent supporter of our troops, will be a special guest at an Armed Forces Day program on Saturday, May 19th at the Banning Armory (99 E. Ramsey St.) in Banning, California.
Mr. Ortiz will speak at a ceremony and take part in a meet-and-greet session with the soldiers. He will join members of the California National Guard, PASS, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and others to honor active duty military personnel and “Blue Star” families (i.e. those with a loved one on active duty) and “Gold Star” mothers and families of soldiers who have given their lives in defense of our freedom.
The open-to-the-public program starts at 9AM PT and California Assemblyman Paul Cook ® District 65, will be the guest speaker. Assemblyman Cook is a retired U.S. Marine Colonel.
“It is a privilege for me to be invited to this event,” said Mr. Ortiz. “I try to support our troops in any way I can and will continue to do so. Whatever I do, however, doesn’t even come close to what our guard and other soldiers do for us every day. My heart is always with the families of those who serve our country and especially with those whose loved ones have made the ultimate sacrifice.”
