Former UFC fighters Anthony Johnson and David Branch will meet on Friday night in the main event of Titan Fighting Championships 22, but the weigh-ins happened on Thursday with quite a stir afterwards.

Reports began to surface early Thursday that Anthony Johnson, who has notoriously had weight cutting issues in the past, missed the cut off for his fight with Branch once again.

The fight was originally billed as a middleweight main event, but according to Branch’s manager Ali Abdel-Aziz the fight was agreed for a 195-lb catchweight fight.

“Both of them made weight, they agreed to fight at 195lbs,” Abdel-Aziz told MMAWeekly.com on Thursday. “This is going to be an amazing fight.”

Johnson hit the scales and came in at 194.2lbs while Branch weighed in at 189.2.

The fight between Johnson and Branch headlines the Titan Fighting card that will air on HDNet on Friday night.

How much youwannabet AJ still doesn’t make weight….?

  • markrenton

Absolutely amazing that this guy made 170lbs for a few fights in the UFC. Doesnt appear he can even make MW anymore.

  • Dayrelphareal

Why won’t AJ just fight at LHW 205 and quit being a P****

    • MrAdidas

B/C he’ll get bent over & FUCT hard in the ass!

  • maddawgmar

Haha, they are gonna create a weight class cuz Johnson’s fat ass can’t make weight.

    • I’d hardly call him fat.

      • fjc1113

Yea it’s pretty ignorant to call rumble fat

        • Its just a joke. Yeah hes not actually fat but hes too heavy to be in the weight classes he has tried to fight in

        • RubeKegal

short bus and fjc, 2 douchenozzles who can’t take the lightest of jokes… Do yourself a favor and remove the stick in your respective asses.

          • You seem upset

          • RubeKegal

            No, YOU seem upset.

    • MrAdidas

WOW people really dont know what “sarcasm” is on this site or what? Of course he’s not fat, but he’s too “fat”/heavy to make weight.

      • fjc1113

Ok fellas no need for name calling. Calling rumble fat to me just seemed like fighter bashing.

      • maddawgmar

Geez, it was a joke, not a very funny one but a joke nonetheless. Watch out here cones another one.

They asked Johnson how much he weighs, and he told them 185. So they said we’ll make the fight at 195 so you have room to go.

But seriously, this guy used to fight at 170, this shows his lack of commitment to training, nutrition, and what fans he has left. I wouldn’t care if I never here his name again.

  • The_Sheriff

I’d be a little bit worried about his health to be honest. If he can’t even make 185 now his body has to have some type of damage done to it with his massive weight cutting as a welterweight.

  • fjc1113

I’ve always been a rumble fan but this is becoming very disappointing. I heard the Dana white of Titan saying he was worried about this on inside mma. I hope he doesn’t blacklist himself to where we can’t see any of his fights anymore

  • SuperNate-AO

Have you seen the guy between fights? He gets so fat that his head changes shape. This sport is not for the undisciplined.

    • @SuperNate-AO “He gets so fat that his head changes shape.”
HAHAHA!!! Funniest thing I read all day.

  • Towers66

David Branch eh? Some strong competition for Rumble Johnson.

  • Why anyone would let him fight below 205 is beyond me. I would only let him fight HW.
