Just two days before his highly anticipated rubber match against Andrei Arlovski, UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia spoke with MMAWeekly.com and was “a little angry.”
Sylvia will enter the Octagon on Saturday night as the underdog, just as he did the first two times he fought Arlovski. Sylvia defeated Andrei less than three months ago, and he seems to be offended that he’s the underdog this time, especially considering the fact that he’s the champion.
“It just makes me want to go out there and prove everybody wrong, like I always do, and knock his ass out,” Sylvia told MMAWeekly when asked about being the underdog.
Discussing their last fight, Sylvia said, “[When I hit] him last time, it was an easy punch and he fell down, so if I hit him with a good solid shot, he’s going to sleep for a long time.”
Tim didn’t hesitate to answer when asked to give his prediction for the fight. He responded confidently, “It ain’t getting past the first round. I know it. He knows it. The world knows it.”
