Former pro wrestling guru Paul Heyman presents the 2nd of 5 videos produced to help promote the upcoming release of the EA Sports MMA game, headed to stores on Oct 19. Last week, Heyman debuted the new series with Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz, and this time it’s legendary MMA fighter Frank Shamrock getting in front of the camera.
“We’re very proud of this piece,” Heyman said. “Frank Shamrock is one of the true pioneers of mixed martial arts, one of the greatest fighters of all time. Now, retirement has become his prison, because inside his body beats the heart of a fighter. Frank Shamrock isn’t the type to retire, he wants to fight. He’d love to enter the cage and compete again. Now, the only way for him to do so, is for the gamer to be Frank in the game.”
The promo features Shamrock and several fights that many fans might want to put together including a showdown with his brother Ken that never got to take place inside the cage for real, so now it can take place in the virtual world.
