Strikeforce Releases Houston Preliminary Card

Strikeforce recently released the seven bouts that make up its preliminary fight card for Strikeforce: Houston. The event is scheduled for Aug. 21 at the Toyota Center.

Former Olympic wrestler Daniel Cormier heads the preliminary bouts. The undefeated heavyweight (4-0) takes on Jason Riley, who is 7-3 and coming off of a recent loss to Devin Cole.

Also featured on the preliminary card are bouts featuring Andre Galvao vs. Nate Moore and former “Ultimate Fighter” cast member Vinny Magalhaes vs. Rocky Long.

A light heavyweight title bout between Strikeforce champion Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal and Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante and a battle for the vacant middleweight championship, between Tim Kennedy and Ronaldo “Jacare” de Souza, headline the Strikeforce: Houston main card on Showtime.
