
Following a hard night of fights, several competitors from Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal face medical suspensions, including Jorge Masvidal and Devin Cole, who must gain doctor’s clearance before returning to action.
According to the California State Athletic Commission, Masvidal, Cole, and lightweights Billy Evangelista and K.J. Noons require full doctor’s clearances before they can return to action.
Currently all three are under an indefinite suspension from their fights last weekend in San Diego.
Gilbert Melendez suspended 45 days, no contact for 30 days due to a hard bout
Jorge Masvidal suspended 45 days, no contact for 30 days due to left eye cut. Suspended indefinitely for right hand pain.
Hiroko Yamanaka suspended 45 days, no contact for 30 days for knockout
K.J. Noons suspended indefinitely due to decreased vision in left eye until cleared by physician
Billy Evangelista suspended indefinitely due to irritation in left eye until cleared by physician
