The first two match-ups pitting Fedor vs. Silva and Arlovski vs. Kharitonov will take place on Feb. 12 at the IZOD Center in New Jersey. The other two pairings – Overeem vs. Werdum and Barnett vs. Rogers – do not yet have a definitive date or location despite Strikeforce’s plans to hold an event March 5 in Columbus, Ohio.
The tournament comes on the heels of M-1 Global’s announcement on its Russian website on Tuesday that they have come to terms with Strikeforce on a new contract for Fedor in a partnership that includes M-1 Global, Strikeforce, and Showtime, the promotion’s television partner.
