Coenen has a guillotine choke locked up and it’s tight, but Tate is able to slip free. Tate working from side control landing short shots to the face and body, staying busy from the top.

Round 2: Coenen looks for strikes but Tate is having none of it and initiates the clinch. Tate gets the fight to the ground, but Coenen scrambles and actually ends up taking Tate’s back. Coenen has the full body triangle. Coenen still working from the back, looking for the choke, but Tate is defending well. Coenen is trying to trap Tate’s arm with her leg, but she can’t quite grab it.

Round 3: Coenen throws a kick and Tate catches it and puts her on her back. Not much action on the ground as Tate works inside Coenen’s full guard. After a lull in action, the fight is stood back up only to have Tate get another takedown almost immediately after the restart. Coenen working with a high guard as Tate presses the action against the cage.
