They move into the clinch with Carmouche looking for knees and foot stomps. Coenen lands a nice push kick to the midsection as a fairly uneventful round one comes to a close.

Round 2: In the clinch quickly, Coenen looking for the Thai plum, but Carmouche pushes through and starts to look for a takedown. Coenen locks up a guillotine and it looks tight, but Carmouche battles out and ends up on top of Coenen. Carmouche looking for strikes while Coenen tries for an armbar, but Carmouche is out without a problem. Carmouche ends up in north-south position, slamming knees to Coenen’s shoulder. Carmouche in side control now, and then in mount. Carmouche punishing Coenen from the mount, looking for the finish but Coenen survives.

Round 3: In the clinch immediately, with Carmouche pressing Coenen against the cage. The fighters are posturing for position, with neither gaining the upper hand. Coenen looking for knees to the body, but Carmouche has the body lock and drags her to the mat. Carmouche moves to mount again. Carmouche punishing Coenen from the mount with heavy punches. Another dominant round for Carmouche.

Round 4: Coenen gets the fight to the ground to start round 4. Carmouche gets up quick and lands a takedown of her own, landing in Coenen’s guard. Coenen locks on a triangle choke, Carmouche tries to battle her way out but cannot and taps to end the fight.
