Super prospect Lorenz Larkin kept his undefeated record alive with another victory to cap off Strikeforce Challengers 19 on Friday night.

Larkin took on late replacement Nick Rossborough and even though it was short notice, his new opponent was up for the challenge. Rossborough kept the fight close through two rounds, but seemed to be coming up short in exchanges with Larkin, who punished his opponent with leg kicks and solid stand-up.

The final frame separated the two from what was a close fight as Larkin took over late, blasting Rossborough with a nasty knee that dropped him to the mat. Larkin let him up, but eventually took the fight back to the ground where he kept the pressure on until the fight came to a close.

Larkin walked away with a unanimous decision victory, and now moves to 12-0 in his career.

In what has to be considered a mild upset, Shawn Jordan was able to submit Lavar Johnson in his 2nd fight under Strikeforce. Using a superior ground game, Jordan was able to put Johnson in an uncomfortable position on the ground where he grabbed hold of a key lock, and eventually Johnson was forced to tap.

Ryan Couture returned from his first career loss and pulled off a majority decision win over Maka Watson. The ground battle is where Couture was able to subdue Watson for the majority of the fight, although when he got stuck underneath the Team Wand fighter at one point, he had to endure some serious ground and pound.

Watson unfortunately couldn’t capitalize enough and Couture was able to do enough to get the judges on his side, and pick up his third win.

Jason High dominated Todd Moore en route to a three round unanimous decision in his bout at Strikeforce Challengers. High was content using his wrestling to put Moore on his back, and simply control his opponent for the better part of 15 minutes.

While not the most exciting fight, High was by far the stronger fighter and got the win.

The opening bout on the card saw Brian Melancon get a unanimous decision win over Felipe Portela.
