Strikeforce Challengers 20 Medical Suspensions

Strikeforce Challengers LogoStrikeforce Challengers 20: Britt vs. Sayers, the promotion’s fourth event in Las Vegas, took place Friday night, Nov. 18, at the Palms Casino Resort. Lumumba Sayers topped Antwain Britt in the main event, while Olympic medalist Ronda Rousey continued to roll through the women’s ranks.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday released the post-fight suspensions for Strikeforce Challengers 20.

Strikeforce Challengers 20 Medical Suspensions:

Antwain Britt – Must have his right knee x-rayed and cleared by an orthopedic doctor or no contest until May 18, 2012. He faces a minimum suspension until Jan. 3, 2012 with no contact prior to Dec. 19.

Julia Budd – Must have her right elbow cleared by an orthopedic doctor or no contest until May 18. She faces a minimum suspension until Jan. 18 with no contact prior to Jan. 3.

Anthony Smith – Suspended until Jan. 18 with no contact prior to Jan. 3.

Nate James – Suspended until Jan. 3 with no contact prior to Dec. 19 due to left upper eyelid laceration.

Matt Ricehouse – Must have his left elbow x-rayed and cleared by an orthopedic doctor or no contest until May 18.

James Reese – Suspended until Jan. 3 with no contact prior to Dec. 19 due to nasal bridge laceration.

David Hulett – Suspended until Dec. 19 with no contact prior to Dec. 10.

Quinn Mulhern – Suspended until Jan. 18 with no contact prior to Jan. 3 due to scalp laceration.

Andreas Spang – Must get a follow-up MRI for comparison to March 19, 2011, MRI. Needs to take films or go to the same facility by March 29, 2012. He also faces a minimum suspension until Dec. 19 with no contest prior to Dec. 10 due to a right eye laceration.

Willie Parks – Suspended until Jan. 18 with no contact prior to Jan. 18 due to TKO and lower lip laceration.
