Strikeforce on Thursday added a welterweight bout between Dream champion Marius Zaromskis and Waachiim Spiritwolf to its Nov. 19 Strikeforce Challengers 12 fight card at the Jackson Convention Complex in Jackson, Miss.
The fight replaces a bout featuring Ryan Couture, who had to withdraw due to a staph infection, on the televised portion of the event on Showtime.
Zaromskis (13-5) is coming off back-to-back losses, including his most recent fight with Evangelista Cyborg Santos and current Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz. He had won five-straight bouts prior to Diaz.
Spiritwolf (8-7-1) is making a quick return to the cage after losing a unanimous decision to Billy Evangelista at Strikeforce Challengers 11 on Oct. 22 in Fresno, Calif., a fight he thought he won.
