The injury plague of 2012 continues to rear its ugly head and the latest victim is UFC 154 fighter Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.
The welterweight fighter has been forced out of his upcoming bout in Montreal due to a knee injury.
Thompson was expected to face Besam Yousef on the UFC 154 undercard, but now he will spend time at home rehabbing from surgery to repair his injured knee.
There’s been no word as of yet from UFC officials about the injury or if Yousef will remain on the card against a new opponent.
The news of Thompson’s injury was first reported by MMAFighting.com.
