Media mogul Jay Z and legendary fighter Anderson Silva have come together to produce a new series for Jay Z’s Life+Times web channel. The series, entitled STATIC, delves deeper into some of the most hotly contested rivalries in mixed martial arts, giving fans a much more thorough understanding of the friction between the fighters.

The series premiere featured the rivalry between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen. The second episode focused on the rivalry between Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Nick Diaz.

In this, the third episode of STATIC, we get a deeper look into the rivalry between UFC women’s champion Ronda Rousey and former Strikeforce champ Miesha Tate.

The officials synopsis for episode three:

Ronda Rousey v. Miesha Tate
While the women’s MMA division may be small, when former Olympian Ronda Rousey became a professional fighter she shot to fame and rubbed some of her fellow athletes the wrong way. One of those athletes was current champion Miesha Tate. As the two threw barbs at each other through the media, they eventually fought for Tate’s title and Rousey won in the first round. Tensions between the two grew and though they eventually fought again, the animosity still persists. Featuring original interviews with Miesha Tate, Bryan Caraway, Malki Kawa, Nick Diaz, and Anderson Silva.

I liked the first one. The second was pretty good. I expected greatness out of this one, But it seemed like they really didnt actually care to get much into the rivalry. Just the same s–t even the most casual fans know

Misha could fight Gina, Ronda is too much for her…

  • Joe Dog

Rousey has it all; looks, attitude and skill. The question is will her stardom fade when she is beaten. (Unlike Gina Carano).

The woman is an Olympian. Now look at the lifespan of anyone in MMA who had that pedigree. I rest my case. The question is why are we still taking about Tate? Now Jon is dodging fighting in Sweden! He’s the Ultimate Bitch!

    I like cat fights. lol

  • MikeP22

Roy Jones Jr is a terrible narrator.

  • drkdisciple

Not a big fan on Ronda but even with that said she would beat Tate every single time. Hope we never see a Rousey vs Tate 3.

  • Maddawgmar

The only issue I have with that video was, “the second fight was closely contested, but Rousey won in the third round.”

Tate was murdered that whole fight.

    • someone

not in the first as I remember

Tate the twatwaffle cry baby bitch. Got her ass kicked and can’t handle that she is just not tough enough to take Rhonda out, and she knows she will never see the title belt again. Unless someone else lets her hold it LOL

meisha needs some serious nose reduction work

  • Walt Waite-Moore

Hey LCM Joe dog, John Jones already kicked gustaf’s ass once, he has to earn a rematch you numb nuts.

  • Nathan Thomas Peter

This seems one sided. Like way to one sided. Not even the good side but the sore loser side.

  • dandogood

Meisha Big Nose tate isn’t a factor after two humiliating losses to Rhonda. Meisha is a hateful spiteful jealous broad with a clown nose who cannot live with Tate’s shame and Rouseys success and millions. Big nose and Caroway seed boyfriend need to go away.

  • dandogood

Meisha is hard to look at.
