MMAWeekly.com has had it confirmed that Matt Wiman will step in, with less than two weeks of notice, to face Spencer Fisher at UFC 60 in Los Angeles.

Wiman has an MMA record of 6-2, and fought most recently at the Mixed Fighting Championships event in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Wiman has gone the distance with such fighters as Nick Agallar and Roger Huerta, though he lost to both Agallar and Huerta via unanimous decision.

Nicknamed “The Fireman,” Wiman loves to brawl and initially trained under Mikey Burnett and. He is primarily a stand-up fighter, which could make for a great fight stylistically with Spencer Fisher. Wiman currently trains in Florida at The Armory.

Leonard Garcia, Fisher’s orginial opponent, broke his fibula in training this past week. While doing some grappling training with a wrestler from Duane “Bang” Ludwig’s camp, Garcia got tangled up and had his fibula snapped. So, Garcia is out and Matt Wiman is in as the new opponent for Spencer Fisher at UFC 60 on May 27th.
