Siyar Bahadurzada will make his long awaited Octagon debut at UFC 142 in Brazil, as he faces top prospect Erick Silva on the card.
UFC officials confirmed the bout on Monday.
Siyar Bahadurzada, a veteran of several promotions throughout the years, finally makes his UFC debut while currently riding a six-fight win streak.
Known for his fierce striking, Bahadurzada has never been afraid to match his Muay Thai with any opponent. He’ll look to do just that again when he travels to Brazil in January. Bahadurzada also made an appearance on the current season of The Ultimate Fighter, where he served as an assistant coach to Jason “Mayhem” Miller.
Facing Bahadurzada will be Brazilian prospect Erick Silva, who gets to fight at home in Brazil for the second time.
Silva debuted at UFC 134 and made quick work of Luis Ramos, finishing the fight in only 40 seconds.
The welterweights will square off on the UFC 142 fight card set to go down on Jan. 14 in Brazil.
