- SHOOTO ANNOUNCES “BACK TO OUR ROOTS 5″

Shooto has announced several matches for “Back to Our Roots 5,” which is scheduled to happen on September 22th in Korakuen Hall.

Former Shooto Bantamweight Champion Mamoru looks to earn another title shot as he takes on Yasuhiro Urushitani. Mamoru is coming off a lopsided decision victory over Yusei Shimokawa at Shooto ‘Shooting Disco 1′. Urushitani drew with Shooto Bantamweight Champion ‘BJ’ Kojima at Shooto ‘Back to Our Roots 2,’ in a fight that many believe he won.

In a rematch of a fight that happened two years ago, Shooto fan favorite Kenji Osawa takes on Brazilian fighter Daniel Lima. Osawa comes off a disappointing loss to Marcos Galvao at Shooto ‘Back to Our Roots 3′. Lima is coming off a decision victory over Shooto veteran Ayumu ‘Gozo’ Shioda at Warriors Realm 9.

Shooto badboy Setsu Iguchi returns to Shooto after a sixteen month layoff to take on fomer Shooto contender Jin Akimoto.

Also scheduled to participate on the card is Shooto legend Rumina Sato, who comes of a TKO victory over Augusto Frota at Shooto ‘Back to Our Roots 2.’
