The philosophy seems to be working for DREAM as they put together their New Year’s Eve card in Japan because Shinya Aoki will return home to face Antonio McKee.
DREAM officials announced the new bout on Friday.
This isn’t the first time DREAM has attempted to put the lightweight together in the ring, but now maybe it will become a reality.
McKee was scheduled to fight Aoki during DREAM’s “Fight for Japan” show in 2011, but ultimately the fight never came together and a laundry list of rumors flew as to why it didn’t happen.
McKee took responsibility for the fight not taking place, but now he’s signed on to face Aoki as part of the year end show in Japan.
More fights are expected to be announced in the coming days for the DREAM 1
