Shawn Sherk returns to MMA on Las Vegas promoter “Guilty Boxing’s” September 16th Pro Boxing, MMA and Muay Thai card

“Pride And Glory”

Guilty Boxing presents “Pride and Glory” at the Gwinett Arena on September 16th in Atlanta, Georgia. “Pride and Glory” will be a world class match-up of the best Professional Boxers, Muay Thai Kickboxers, and Mixed Martial Artists ever assembled for one event. This event will be the first time a large Boxing Promoter has come on board with the fastest growing Combat Sports in the world – Thai boxing and MMA! The action will be intense, fast, and furious as top notch fighters from Pro Boxing, Pro Mixed Martial Art’s and Pro Muay Thai square off in this World Champion Event.

This event will mark the highly anticipated return of a MMA legend and “pound for pound” legitimate bad ass Sean Sherk! The MMA world has been up in arms since Sherk’s absence from the MMA scene after his fights in the UFC and Pride FC, and Sean is ready to prove he is “the top draw” for any show on the planet. Sherk’s opponent is hard charging Joel “The Baby Silverback” Blanton and he knows that a win over Sean instantly catapults him to the front of the line for the big shows.

Boxing’s undefeated and world-ranked Sultan Ibragimov of Russia, one of the most exciting and highly regarded heavyweight contenders in the world, and Ebo Elder of Atlanta, generally considered the most promising challenger in the lightweight division, headline a PPV card featuring two 12-round bouts promoted by Guilty Boxing out of Las Vegas in association with Sampson Lewkowicz and sponsored by Nafta Moskva on September 16th in Duluth, Georgia.

Ibragimov defends his World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific Heavyweight Championship against Friday “The 13th” Ahunanya of Las Vegas in a 12-round title bout.

Elder, dubbed “The X-treme Machine,” is in a 12-round World Boxing Association lightweight title-elimination bout against Prawet Singwangcha of Thailand. The Elder-Singwangcha winner meets current WBA 135-pound champion Juan Diaz in a mandatory title bout.

The under card will be sponsored by the Combat Sports League in tandem with the World Kickboxing Association (USA), the worlds oldest and most respected Kickboxing Sanctioning Organization.

Other fighters from elite teams such as American Top Team, Team Lloyd Irvin, Team Prodigy, and Atlanta’s own Velocity Kickboxing will fight on the under card with hopes of showing the world what the sport’s of Mixed Martial Arts and Muay Thai Kickboxing are all about! These fighters are highly trained and skilled athletes that promise to bring the excitement level to a fever pitch.

Tickets, priced at $20, $40, $60, $100 and $150, are available at The Arena at Gwinnett Center box office from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Eastern) Monday through Friday or by calling 770-813-7600 during those days and hours.
