Training partners Sean Sherk and Brock Larson of Minneapolis have agreed to have Monte Cox manage their MMA careers and joined “Team Extreme.”
Sherk (27-1-1) was managed by Cox until leaving in order to pursue a fight against Team Extreme member Matt Hughes for the UFC welterweight championship. The 5-round decision loss to Hughes remains the lone loss on Sherk’s record.
Larson (12-0) is an up-and-coming middleweight who recently defeated three tough foes en route to winning the Extreme Challenge 63 eight-man tournament in Hayward, Wis.
Team Extreme consists of 38 fighters, including former UFC champions Pat Miletich, Dave Menne, Tim Sylvia and Jens Pulver… along with current UFC champions Hughes and Rich Franklin.
