It was obvious how much passion each person had for the sport of MMA,” comments Never Submit producer Cindy Ortiz. “From what I understand, some candidates hopped on planes to make the trek to San Jose while others had driven 400-500 miles through the night, in some cases, for the opportunity to be a part of Never Submit. The interest in this movie has been very high and the outpouring of support for the project from the MMA community has been incredible.”
“Casting agents representing top talent throughout the movie industry have been in contact with Imperia recently expressing the interest their clients have in auditioning for roles in Never Submit,” according to Hergott. “The UFC and other promotions have done a great job creating awareness for the sport of MMA in the mainstream and their collective efforts are proving to be of great benefit to our casting process by attracting the kind of talent that has the potential to fill theater seats across North America.”
