Jeff Curran is back in the UFC, but his first fight won’t be an easy one.
As MMAWeekly.com first reported earlier in the day, Curran signed a new multi-fight deal with the promotion after exiting the Zuffa-owned WEC in 2009 following four consecutive losses.
Now that he’s back in the Octagon, he’s jumping right into the deep end of the division.
Former Boise State wrestler Scott Jorgensen returns at UFC 137 to face Curran after blasting Ken Stone in his last fight at “The Ultimate Fighter 13” finale.
Jorgensen, the No. 4 ranked bantamweight fighter in the world, unloaded a vicious knockout on the ground and finished Stone in the first round back in June.
Now Jorgensen looks to make it two in a row when he welcomes Curran back to the UFC in October.
