Sam Stout and Yves Edwards at UFC 131The influx of Strikeforce fighters continues with lightweight Caros Fodor being the latest transfer as he is set to face Sam Stout at UFC 157.

UFC officials confirmed the fight on Friday.

With Strikeforce on its way to being out of business as of January, their roster of fighters are beginning to transition to the Octagon and Caros Fodor is the latest.

With a 6-1 record over his last seven fights, Matt Hume trained fighter Caros Fodor hopes to earn his way into the UFC with a tough test in his debut bout.

Canadian Sam Stout will welcome Fodor to the Octagon at UFC 157 after dropping a decision to John Makdessi at UFC 154 in Montreal.

It’s expected that Stout and Fodor will occupy a slot on the preliminary card, although their placement is not confirmed yet.

  • Sam Stout is no joke, beautiful techniqual kickboxing with a lot of heart. There should be a lot of interesting fights with Strikeforce/UFC.

      I dont wanna look @ these fights as UFC vs SF but more as SF fighters gettin their shot @ making a name for themsleves in the biggest MMA org in the world. And an even better way to look @ this is deeper cards.

      • Yes very good way to put it. But are there any fights specifically you are looking forward to with guys coming over? The WW division is for sure going to have some interesting fights.
