Sakuraba always seems to take the ‘David against Goliath’ role in fights. But this time he might not be as much of a ‘David’, as he weighed in at over 200 pounds for his fight against Ken Shamrock. Sakuraba weighed in at 92.4 kilos, which comes out to around 203.7 pounds. So will this weight slow him down against Shamrock? Will it give him more strength, and if so will that new strength outweigh any possible adverse effects from the extra weight? Sakuraba doesn’t seem to think the extra weight will hurt him. See Sakuraba talk about the weight and about his fight against Ken Shamrock on MMAWeekly TV. See the two legends face each other a day before their fight in Tokyo, Japan.
