Canadian light heavyweight standout Steve Bosse will make his UFC debut on April 16 against fellow Canadian Ryan Jimmo. UFC officials announced on Wednesday that the two have verbally agreed to the fight.
Bosse (10-1) hasn’t been defeated in nearly seven years. The 32-year-old has spent his entire career fighting in local Montreal events. He is currently riding an eight-fight winning streak. He last competed in May 2013. Eight of his 10 wins have come by knockout.
Jimmo (18-3) debuted in the UFC in July 2012. In his second fight under the UFC banner, he had a 17-fight winning streak snapped when he lost to James Te Huna by unanimous decision. He bounced back with a decision win over Igor Pokrajac at UFC 161, but is coming off a loss in his last outing to Jimi Manuwa.
UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Kennedy takes place at the Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, on April 16. The event is headlined by a middleweight match-up between Michael Bisping and Tim Kennedy. The card also features the fight between The Ultimate Fighter Nations coaches Patrick Cote and Kyle Noke in the co-main event.
