Bader (17-4) won The Ultimate Fighter 8 and earned a six-figure UFC contract in 2008. He won his next four fights within the promotion. The 31-year-old former two-time NCAA Division 1 All-American wrestler has fought the likes of Jon Jones, Lyoto Machida, Tito Ortiz and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. He’s currently riding a two-fight winning streak with a unanimous decision win over Rafael Cavalcante in his last outing at UFC 174 on June 14.
St. Preux (16-5) made his way to the UFC through the defunct Strikeforce organization. He made his promotional debut at UFC 159 in April 2013 and is currently riding a five-fight winning streak. The 31-year-old Haitian-American defeated Ryan Jimmo by submission in his last outing at UFC 174.
Bader is ranked eighth in the official UFC 205-pound rankings while St. Preux sits at No. 10.
UFC Fight Night: Bader vs. St. Preux takes place at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine on Aug. 16. The event will mark the first time the UFC has hosted an event in Maine.
