A pair of fighters looking to stop the bleeding will meet at UFC 139 when former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ winner Ryan Bader faces fellow wrestler Jason Brilz.
The new fight was announced by the UFC on Tuesday.
Following a five fight win streak including his victory at the TUF 8 finale, Ryan Bader has fallen on tougher times of late.
The Arizona State All-American has dropped his last two fights in a row with losses to current UFC champion Jon ‘Bones’ Jones and most recently a submission defeat to future UFC hall of famer Tito Ortiz.
Bader will try to get back to his winning ways when he returns at UFC 139 in San Jose, where he faces a fighter in a very similar position.
Jason Brilz also understands the bad taste two defeats in a row can leave in your mouth because he’s going through the same problem right now.
A controversial decision cost Brilz in his fight against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, but then he fell victim to a knockout when he faced Vladdy Matyushenko at UFC 129 in April.
The Nebraska based fighter will hope to stave off three losses in a row and secure his place in the UFC’s light heavyweight division when he faces Bader in November.
