It was an interesting press conference from Hawaii as Rumble on the Rock had media on hand to promote Friday Night’s Welterweight Tournament as well as Team Hawaii vs. Team Japan. Watch it right now on MMAWeekly TV.

The four finalists for the ROTR Grand Prix Championship were in attendance as Jake Shields, Carlos Condit, Frank Trigg and Yushin Okami all spoke. After each fighter spoke, they opened up questions from the media.

MMAWeekly’s Ryan Bennett asked questions to Shields, Condit and Trigg and after those questions, Trigg asked “Any more questions?” When no questions were asked, Trigg immediately got up in the middle of the press conference and left, seemingly agitated.

The press conference continued without Trigg as then fighters from Team Hawaii and Team Japan then spoke. Cabbage, Charuto Verissimo, Ray Cooper and the rest of Team Hawaii talked about looking forward to the challenge of facing Team Japan in what should be an action pack night.

You can watch the Press Conference right now, exclusively on MMAWeekly TV. Butterbean will be squaring off against WWE wrestler Aaron Aguilera. Aguilera was on the WWE Survivor Series last year as he was the bodyguard for Carlito and also battled Kurt Angle in pro wrestling. Aguilera said “I look forward to representing pro wrestling.” Butterbean says he really enjoys MMA and looks forward to his fight this weekend. “I love these small gloves. The power I can generate is crazy.” Bean told MMAWeekly before the press conference.

As first reported yesterday on MMAWeekly Radio, Butterbean will be squaring off against Tank Abbott on June 23rd for the new K2 promotion in California. K2 is run by the promotion group of the famous Klitchko brothers of boxing fame. Butterbean is looking forward to that slugfest with Tank in a fight that will have special modified rules. Meaning the fight can only be on the ground for 15 seconds. Watch the ROTR press conference right now from Hawaii on MMAWeekly TV.
