Ronda Rousey is just about to step in the cage with Alexis Davis, but on a recent episode of Yahoo Insder, the UFC women’s bantamweight champ showed a little of her softer side… although not too much.

But she knows when to turn it on and off: “When it’s bad ass time, be bad ass time; when it’s Barbie time, be Barbie time.”

Davis might be hoping for a little Barbie time on July 5 at UFC 175, but she’s a lot more likely to get some bad ass time.

Rousey vs. Davis serves as the UFC 175 co-main event in support of UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman putting his belt on the line against Lyoto Machida.

When it’s run away from Cyborg time… well, that’s all the time.

    • Hugo Langlois

I find it ridiculous when people say that Ronda is afraid of Cyborg. Cyborg is not even signed with the UFC, she talks about cutting weight but has yet to do it and look at her for God’s sake. She has been a steroid user for way too many years, she doesn’t even look like a woman. She is a very devastating striker, I will give her that but Ronda is a better grappler. This would be a great fight, but if anybody is ducking somebody, it is Cyborg. She is the one who left the UFC not Ronda.

      • Don Lee

Exactly Hugo. All the Cyborg nut huggers want to find fault with Ronda when the fault lies with the cheater.

        • Hugo Langlois

          Exactly Don,

Happy to see I am not the only one who thinks like that. People should start giving Ronda the respect she deserves.

          • Lawdog1521

So I take it she signed your poster of her or something?

          • Hugo Langlois

No not at all. If people don’t respect an Olympic medallist and UFC champion but somehow respect a proven cheater and steroid user then I rest my case.

          • Don Lee

            Checkmate

          • earlsimmons

Don’t care if she is an Olympic medalist…this isn’t the Olympics bro. I respect the cheater because she came back clean and is willing to fight. RR is ducking her. So you respect a coward with a gold medal. Congrats.

          • Hugo Langlois

You respect the cheater because she came back clean? I guess it doesn’t take much to earn your respect. What exactly did she accomplish by coming back clean? Losing kickboxing matches? Face it guys, Ronda is the UFC champ. You’re right, it”s not the Olympics, it’s MMA and Ronda is the champ in the biggest MMA Organisation. She doesn’t have to prove anything anymore. She is the reason women’s MMA finally got noticed.

    • Don Lee

I liked it when Roidzilla tucked tail and ran off to Invicta instead of signing with the UFC.

Stop avoiding CRIS the CYBORG, Rousey, that way We All Can See Who’s The Toughest Female Fighter in MMA and UFC…Ol’ saying goes”One Day You Will Run Into Someone Who is Tougher Then You” so I say too You do YOU think you got the Right Stuff…?not know it, not feel it,Not even think it….”JUST DO IT!” Mahalo Nui loa ,live Aloha and be PONO…

    • TheCerealKiller

      I don’t always grammar Nazi.
But when I do, it’s because you completely devastated the English language.

      Learn English my friends.

    • TKDGuy

I’m no RR fan, but not everyone gives a rat’s ass if she ever faces the roid freak…

    • Don Lee

I guess Ronda was avoiding Cyborg when Cyborg got suspened ending a chance for a fight in Strikeforce. Oh and she avoided her again when Cyborg signed with Strikeforce and not the UFC. Yep it’s all Ronda’s fault.

    • Yannick Messaoud

That would be a great fight but you cant count Rousey out with her takedown, Cyborg as nothing on the ground

  • whenitsKOtimeARMBARlol

am i the only one who thinks ronda is a complete idiot?

    • Lawdog1521

No. But there is a lot of guys who are too busy rubbing one out to her to see how big of a tool she is.

  • Denny Swain

Rousey is far from barbie, more like plain jane

    • TheCerealKiller

She looks like the kid from the Goonies…

      • Yannick Messaoud

        hahaha you made my night

  • Leo Dew

Cereal killa you Funny…main thing you understand what’s being said, that’s all that Matters….unless you some kind of grammer school teacher? ……my friend. Bottom line is these two great female fighters will battle for not only for the title but Respect and to Recognized WHO is the Greatest Female Fighter. The differences I see between them is Rousey has a Bad Attitude, to I don’t care about how good you are and all that talkin B.S. I look for Attitude n Morals and doesn’t have it to me Rousey she’s to Selfish , to selective….its her Character as For Cris she’s more of the Opposite, she has Good Character, she’s Humble, Respectful, Good Attitude and Morals….to me this is the DIFFERENCES between the two….. ANYWAY, The Fight that’s coming up between them will be VERY interesting and Exciting Fight it’ll set things Straight…. Aloha

    • Don Lee

A cheater has good morals??? LOL what world do you live in?

      • TheCerealKiller

Taking a PED has nothing to do with morals. Cyborg has always been respectful of her opponents and her community. On the other hand, Ronda is a disrespectful piece of garbage. She even disrespected GSP in an interview! Do you remember the build up to the second Tate fight? Ronda’s behavior was an embarrassment to MMA. You also define yourself by who you surround yourself with. She hangs out with the Diaz brothers…

        • Don Lee

Taking PEDS has everything to do with morals it’s cheating. A woman giving herself male power to beat up and over power other women is wrong. What does it say about RR when on TUF her team was so close and what does it say about Miesha that her team was divided? Even some of Miesha’s team gravitated to Ronda.

          • earlsimmons

Ya and look at all the people who gravitated towards obama in the beginning and look now. Doesnt say much bro.

          • Don Lee

            It speaks volumes Earl

  • james j

I could not even read this article. The title is a statement of the obvious. The comments are hilarious.

  • dandogood

Rousey is the UFC’s biggest star. Alexis the twig has no chance to win.

    • riverdawg

I think Alexis has a great chance. If she can survive the obvious early burst from Rousey and drag this fight into deep waters it could get very interesting. Alexis is really tuff, likes to brawl, she’s never been submitted and imo is a way better striker and grappler than Meisha Tate. Rousey will probably find a way to win but I wouldn’t count Alexis out.
