Rousey on Wednesday usurped Mayweather’s dominance as the ESPY Best Fighter award winner, snatching the award from his clutches even before the official ceremony.
Out on the ESPY’s Red Carpet, Rousey was handed the award, to which she said, “I wonder how Floyd feels being beaten by a woman for once. I’d like to see you pretend to not know who I am now.”
[UPDATE] Shortly after Rousey was awarded the Best Fighter ESPY, she was also handed the award for Best Female Athlete.
Up against the likes of World Cup and Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, University of Connecticut basketball player Breanna Stuart, and Wimbledon tennis champion Serena Williams, Rousey once again put her stamp on the mainstream sports world by walking away with her second ESPY of the night.
