UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is at odds with her longtime manager Darin Harvey and his company Fight Tribe Management. While it is unknown what the nature of their dispute is, it was enough for Fight Tribe to reportedly file a petition for arbitration in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Rousey and Fight Tribe, however, are even at odds over where to resolve the issue.

Rousey’s attorney, Steven Bash, told Sherdog.com recently that the matter doesn’t belong in court, it belongs in the hands of the California State Athletic Commission.

CSAC Executive Director Andy Foster seems to agree with Rousey’s attorney. He told Inside MMA on Friday that the proper course of action in a dispute between a manager and a fighter in California is to file a request for arbitration with the commission, not the courts.

They probably want some of her Hollywood money, and that’s why it went to court…

Then what would the California Athletic Commission have to do with it?

If this is the issue, Rousey’s attorney probably want it to go in front of the athletic commission because they’re more likely to declare fight money & acting money as completely separate things.
