On Thursday, it was confirmed that Robert Peralta will be forced out of the UFC on FX show in Australia after hurting his foot in training.
Peralta’s manager Jeff Clark posted the news via his Twitter account.
With huge disappointment Robert Peralta (@PeraltaMMA) is out of UFC Australia,” wrote Clark. “Looking like 2 broken toes from kicking the cage.”
Peralta and Semerzier were set to rematch after their initial fight was ruled a no contest from November 2011 at UFC on Fox 1.
Originally, Peralta had been declared the winner by TKO, but upon further review it was determined that a headbutt that connected was actually the cause of Semerzier being rattled and eventually finished in the fight.
It appears that the two fighters will have to wait for a later date to settle the score.
Mackens Semerzier should remain on the UFC on FX card as UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby searches for a replacement for the March 3 show.
