Ring of Fire, the longest running mixed martial arts promotion in Colorado, has inked a deal to air the promotions fight cards on Canadian television via The Fight Network. The first event to air will be this weekend’s Ring of Fire 27 Collision Course featuring a main event of Alvin Robinson vs. Rocky Johnson for Robinson’s lightweight title, as well as a super fight featuring UFC veteran Mark Hominick.
The man behind Ring of Fire is Sven Bean, who worked hand in hand with Josef Mason, the Director of Colorado State Boxing Commission, to legalize mixed martial arts in the state of Colorado.
As part of the new relationship, former Pride announcer Mauro Ranallo will perform play-by-play duties for the Ring of Fire 27 card. “This is a huge bonus for us,” said Bean. “It’s well known within the industry that Mauro is one of the premier MMA play by play men in the world. We are thrilled to be working with him and The Fight Network.”
Ring of Fire has featured such fighters as Duane “Bang” Ludwig, Pete Spratt, Joe Stevenson, Mike Nickels, Drew Fickett, and more.
