Mike Biggie RhodesMike “Biggie” Rhodes went into Friday night’s RFA 10: Rhodes vs. Jouban at Hy Vee Hall in Des Moines, Iowa, searching for that crucial victory that might put him on the UFC’s radar. And he got it.

It took Rhodes all five rounds, but he took a unanimous decision victory over Alan Jouban. The win earned Rhodes the inaugural RFA welterweight championship, and hopefully the eyes of the UFC matchmakers.

“I’ll be just like Sergio and I’ll get that title belt and the UFC will come calling,” Rhodes told MMAWeekly.com prior to the fight. “I feel I can beat anyone at 170 pounds and hopefully they’ll give me the opportunity to show it at the highest level.”
