LEGEND RANDY COUTURE AND AFFLICTION BRING OPERATION XTREME SACRIFICE TO LAS
Couture Foundation To Offer Support To Returning Troops
Vegas, NV – Memorial Day was first officially proclaimed on May 5, 1868
by General John Logan. 139 years later, Randy “Captain America” Couture
continues to remember those who have fought for our freedom with Operation
Xtreme Sacrifice. In conjunction with UFC 71, The Extreme Couture
Foundation will be raising money, awareness, and thanking those who have made
the ultimate sacrifice on Sunday, May 27th from Couture’s training compound in
Las Vegas. The launch party for Operation Extreme Sacrifice will
include a red carpet arrival for celebrities, UFC superstars, sponsors and
several of our decorated veterans. There will be several ways to donate
money for the troops and their families. Tax deductible donations will be
collected thru ticket sales, a live auction featuring a hunting trip with Randy
himself and even a text contribution program. This event takes no
political stance and is simply a platform for letting the troops know how much
this event is Randy Couture, who has become the face of the UFC. Couture began
as a collegiate Greco-roman wrestler and quickly became the world’s most
dominant professional mixed martial arts fighter. Randy is the current
UFC heavyweight champion and the fourth fighter inducted into the UFC hall of
fame. He is the only athlete to have held championship titles in both the
heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions of the UFC and is the only five-time
champion in the league’s history. His reputation and accomplishments have
earned him the nicknames "The Natural" and “Captain America.”
Xtreme Sacrifice will feature a full red carpet arrivals area with a special desert
camouflage print carpet. The step and repeat media wall will be flanked by two
custom choppers built for the Champ and his wife by Suicide Jack. Inside, the
training facility will be transformed into a Vegas hot spot with subtle up
lighting, moving lights and sponsor logos projected on fabric pieces hanging
from the ceiling.

games against some of our actual troops stationed in Iraq. Utilizing the X-Box
Live service and the Live Vision camera, the live feed of the troops playing
will be projected on a screen flown from above.
Xtreme Couture Wall of Fame will feature all the fighters on the team with
pics, videos, memorabilia, authentic equipment and current MMA titles.
