MMAWeekly recently caught up with Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in Big Bear, California as he prepared for his fight against Matt “The Law” Lindland, which will take place on the WFA’s pay-per-view event on July 22nd.
Rampage said he has had an “excellent camp” while training in Big Bear for six weeks. In fact, he says he is going to “break The Law.” Rampage continued, “I just don’t want to lose to the guy I’m fighting. I don’t want to lose to a guy that looks like that. Never.” With Lindland just recently moving up to light heavyweight from the middleweight division, Quinton feels that his opponent is in a “win-win situation.”
Jackson also talked about leaving Japan and coming back to America to fight. He said, “I feel like in Japan, I should have been promoted a little bit more.”
As for his new home in the WFA, Rampage said, “I’m pretty happy with the promotion so far from what I’m seeing. We’ve been isolated up on this mountain… can’t see a whole lot, but from what I hear and stuff, they’re doing a pretty good job.”
