The Brazilian fighter tweeted the announcement on Thursday.
“Guys unhappily I won’t be able to fight at UFC Nashville,” Oliveira wrote. “My hand still hurts a lot. I was really looking forward to fight on my state.”
Oliveira lives and trains out of Tennessee, but will have to wait for another time to be able to compete there after pulling out of the fight on Thursday.
Now the UFC will search for a replacement to face debuting fighter Reza Madadi.
MMAWeekly.com will have more information on Madadi’s new opponent when it becomes available.
