Quinton 'Rampage' JacksonThe UFC on Fox 6 card is filling up fast with the latest fight expected to take place on the Jan. 26 show in Chicago pitting Quinton “Rampage” Jackson against Glover Teixeira.

Jackson announced the fight via Twitter on Tuesday night.

“Outside the cage I hate no one. Life is too short for that. Inside the cage my job is to destroy,” wrote Jackson.

“Glover is done on Jan 26 in Chicago.”

Jackson is currently on the last fight of his current UFC contract, and he’s said for months that he intends to test free agency after his next bout.

Following an injury that postponed his fight at UFC 153 in Brazil, Jackson vowed to come back healthier with a renewed urgency for a dominant victory. He’ll get that chance when he fights at UFC on Fox 6 against a very tough prospect in Glover Teixeira.

Not since Jon Jones has the UFC light heavyweight division had the kind of hype that surrounds Brazilian phenom Teixeira.

A long time training partner of UFC legend Chuck Liddell, Teixeira now works with Team Blackhouse, where he works alongside fighters such as UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and former champion Lyoto Machida.

Teixeira has gone 2-0 thus far in his brief UFC career, but now he’ll get the chance to add the most impressive win to his resume when he faces Jackson in Chicago.

UFC officials have yet to officially announce the Rampage vs. Teixeira fight, but the UFC on Fox 6 card will go down on Jan. 26 from the United Center in Chicago.

“add an impressive win” On a past it Rampage? If he destroys him it will look better on paper because of the name he beat…is Rampage even top 10 any more?

I doubt he’ll even fight him, all ‘Page does is whine and talk these days. His real fighting days are far behind him.

So he complains about the matchmaking and now you don’t like him? He’s been in some great fights. Is he top ten? I hope he knocks out this hype train.

I think Rampage has the right to complain. He’s been in the sport a long time, fought all over the world, held the title and did TUF. At this point in his career he’s earned the right to complain and yes his “real” fighting days are behind him but thats b/c hes been in the sport for so long. If thats how he feels who is anyone to say he should feel different. Instead of questioning him as top 10 and all this negative stuff everyone should be excited for this fight. Its going to be sick.

Rampage on a 2 fight losing streaking, but no reason to think hes dropped out of topp 10 yet, lets see next fight what happends, after all 2 of hes last 3 loses was to jones nr1, rashad topp 5, and bader not sure where hes ranked these days but you get the point all loses has been eighter title shoot or top contenders, if he finds some motivation again he can still be in there with the best, seems to me thats hes biggest problem at the moment, but hes been great for mma and i dont get all the hate nomather what happends next he deserves more respect than people hating on him and saying hes over the top already and not a top 10 anymore, give him a chance to prove he still got it, if he dont deliver then i guess hes not motivated anymore and thats to bad for us that miss the old rampage but hey thats life hes had an awsome career anyways.
