Phil Davis Not Exactly Quaking In His Boots About Rashad Evans’ Wrestling

Posted on by Damon Martin

Former NCAA champion Phil Davis had a good time hearing that Rashad Evans believes he’s a better wrestler than the Penn State alum.

Davis compares his over 100 collegiate wins to Evans 40 some odd wins at Michigan State, and isn’t exactly quaking in his boots at the prospect of grappling with his foe at UFC on Fox 2.

Check out this exclusive one on one interview with Phil Davis:

I like Davis in this fight.

I hope Davis pulls out a win. I don’t think Retard Evans should get a title shot, and I would love to end all of this talk about how great some people think he is.

Having said that, if Retard wins, I will be the first to order the fight between Jones and Retard Evans. That will be the best money ever spent just to see Evans get his ass handed to him! He isn’t even in the same league as Jones.

People honestly think he is is good????

He hasn’t faced cream of the crop opponents. The only real top fighter he’s faced is Lyoto.

      • TKD

Exactly. And we all know how the Lyoto fight ended!

I am not a big fan of Rashad and I dont think he stands a chance against Bones however I do think some of you guys are a little tough on him. To say that his only real tough opponent was Lyoto might be an under-statement. Rashad did beat and dominate rampage, beat Thiago Silva who is no pushover and also has wins over forrest Griffin and Chuck. There is no doubt that Rashad is a top 5 fighter at 205. But even with that said I believe he wont last more then 2 rounds agains Bones!

When I first heard Rashad say he was a better Wrestler than Davis I had to read it three times just to make sure I wasn’t having an stroke! I think Rashad is just one of those fighters that has to convince himself he’s better at everything than his opponent no matter how crazy his comments are… and it keeps his name in the news.
