ONE FC: Roar of Tigers is set for Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur on Oct. 17. The card received four more bouts on Wednesday, including a lightweight match-up between Peter Davis and Vaughn Donayre.

A well known model and actor, Davis (8-3) has established a big fan following in Malaysia, but after beating a couple of less experienced opponents he is in for a tough test against Dubai-based Filipino Vaughn Donayre (7-2), who will be looking to snap a two fight losing streak.

The card will also see Ann Osman fighting in her homeland for the first time. The Malaysian flyweight has competed in both Singapore and Dubai and is coming off a split-decision win over boxing world champion Ana Julaton.

Osman (1-1) has helped to break down boundaries for female mixed martial artists in Malaysia. She will be looking for a second win in quick succession when she takes on Egypt’s Aya Saeid Saber (2-4) on Oct. 17.

Wednesday’s announcement from the Singapore-based promotion ensures that here will be two Thai fighters in action at ONE FC: Roar of Tigers with both Anatpong Bunrad and Tanaphong Khunhankaew making their promotional debuts.

Bunrad (3-1) is a bantamweight who has a background in BJJ and he will be taking on Malaysia’s Marc Marcellinus (0-1), while Khunhankaew (5-3) fights at 145 pounds and will be going up against Pakistani MMA pioneer Bashir Ahmad (2-1).

The event will be headlined by a previously announced featherweight bout between Rob Lisita and Marat Gafurov, while Ev Ting and Edward Kelly lock horns in the supporting slot, also in the 145-pound division.

Fans in Asia can catch all the action live on FOX Sports 3. Check your local listings. Also, fans from around the world can witness the action online via live streaming at The event will be available for purchase at just US$9.99.

Ann Osman got this match already won. She’s too strong and much more rounded than her opponent. I was hoping the much delayed re-match against Sherilyn Lim, which will be more of a challenge. They would have made the higher weight class for both to fit and prevent Lim from missing weight. Anyway, still no China date announced yet and it doesn’t look that’s going to happen. Anyway, it’s good that they are building stars to compete at their respective home base and that in turn will help create more awareness and gate attendance.
