A change has been made to the upcoming Pro Elite card in Illinois with main event fighter Pedro Rizzo being forced out of his fight with Tim Sylvia due to injury.

Rizzo updated his status through Twitter, stating that he suffered a partial tear on his triceps tendon on his left arm. The injury will force Rizzo to the sideline to recover and out of his scheduled bout with former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia.

MMAWeekly.com was able to reach Pro Elite official Rich Chou on Monday who confirmed Rizzo’s exit from the card, and said they are working on securing a replacement at this time.

Currently, no one has been named as a new opponent for Sylvia, but Pro Elite officials are hoping to have someone shortly.

The card is set to go down on Nov 5 in Moline, Ill where fellow former UFC champion Andrei Arlovski will also appear on the card against veteran journeyman Travis Fulton.

MMAWeekly.com will have more information on Rizzo’s replacement when it becomes available.
