An undercard bout has been added to UFC 115 in Vancouver. Canadian fighter Claude Patrick makes his promotional debut against Team Link fighter Ricardo Funch in a welterweight bout on the show.
Independent sources confirmed the bout to MMAWeekly.com on Thursday. It was first reported by FiveOuncesofPain.com
Claude Patrick (11-1) makes his move to the UFC after an impressive career spanning several regional promotions, and is currently riding a 10-fight win streak.
Fighting for the International Fight League (IFL) for one fight, Patrick then moved on and holds wins over fighters like Arizona Combat Sports fighter Ray Steinbeiss.
Stepping in to challenge Patrick in his debut is Team Link fighter and teammate to UFC heavyweight Gabriel Gonzaga, Ricardo Funch. The Massachusetts’ based fighter was scheduled to fight at UFC 111, but he suffered a cut on his foot during training that put him out of the show.
Suffering the first loss of his career, in his UFC debut against Johny Hendricks in December last year, Funch hopes to bounce back when he faces Patrick in his home country in June.
