This weekend’s Bellator 73 fight card is going to be a little lighter than planned at the top end. Bellator featherweight champion Pat Curran suffered an injury in training, forcing him out of his title defense against Patricio “Pitbull” Freire.
Freire has subsequently been pulled from the fight card as well, according to Bellator officials.
Instead of the title bout topping the bill, Bellator 73 now features the Season 6 bantamweight tournament final between Marcos Galvao and Luis Nogueira, as well as the Season 6 light Heavyweight tournament final pitting Travis Wiuff against Attila Vegh.
